Female Girdles For Men

Diseases and pests of bamboo

Slugs Slugs can eat the shoots when they leave earth when they are tender.
Sometimes the thatch is eaten away and so it breaks before its maturity.

But on a beautiful clump of bamboo, the damage is still minimal and there is no need to intervene drastically.

Mites
In the outside, you may notice on some bamboo lighter patches on the leaves.

This is caused by a mite known as: Schizotetranycus celarius.
When the plant is highly contested, it can be somewhat weakened, but no more, because these mites generally prevalent in late summer.
If you notice a plant that has these symptoms, we always recommend that you treat the following year with a miticide préventivemement 2 times in spring
3 or 4 week intervals, to prevent other plants from being attacked.

Field mice and other critters eat voles
Dry the rhizomes and shoots sometimes. (I have full in my garden /
Field mice can eat the young when they grow out of the ground.
But the greatest damage they cause is when they dig their burrows in a plant.

For then falls and the plant has enough moisture.
We will remedy this problem by lining the planting hole with the lattice Hen.

Aphids
Some years it may be that some young bamboo shoots be attacked by aphids.

We note by sooty mold (black film) that covers the leaves.
This is not very pretty but does not weaken the adult plant.
