Far Breton Prune

The far at prunes invariably takes me back years ago. My first holiday in Brittany, lively nights in Paris with friends from the Finistere ... It had been years since I did not eat this blank so evocative of this rustic kitchen Grandmother's that I love. So I immediately put the hands on discovering this authentic family recipe posted on her blog Lavender tribute to his mammy Brittany ...

Ingredients for 8 people
  • 250 g sugar 225 g flour
  • 5 eggs 3 / 4 l milk
  • 200 g pitted prunes
  • butter and flour for pan

Preparation Preheat oven to 190 º C. Butter and flour the sides of a flat oven or a cast. Turn over and tap to remove excess flour. Book.

Mix sugar with flour in a bowl. Add eggs and mix until dough is thick and smooth.

Add milk slowly while whisking.

Transfer the mixture into the dish and scatter the prunes in the dough. Bake at 190 º C for about 1 hour.

Remove from oven and cool to room temperature. Enjoy the far cold or at room temperature.
